On January 25, a Liberty Towing truck was hit while on the scene of another call. This accident marked the 3rd time this year that one of our trucks has been hit and put our drivers in harm’s way. Luckily, there were no injuries, but the continued inattentiveness of drivers is enough to shake us up.
Liberty’s owner, Rod Timmerman, was interviewed on NBC15 to help bring awareness to the dangers tow truck drivers and emergency response vehicles face on a daily basis. He reminds us that it only takes seconds for an accident to occur, and too often, these are the result of a distracted driver on their cell phone. During Wisconsin winters, poor road conditions can make this situation even more dangerous.
